Add a Poster, Logo and Other Customizations

SportyHQ lets you add a lot of information about your event to your tournament's page. Our aim is to make your tournament page on SportyHQ the primary place where people go to view anything related to your event. By consolidating the information under one roof, you make it easier for yourself and for all interested parties.

This article will cover the common customizations and additions tournament organizers commonly add.

Add a Tournament Logo

Many tournaments have a logo, and they're a great way to make your event stand out. In SportyHQ, your logo will appear at the top of your main tournament page. It will also get included on your scoresheets and some other printed materials.

To upload a tournament logo, click on the Upload Tournament Logo link in the Administrator bar.

A popup display will appear asking you to find your logo. You'll see that you can pick from a variety of sources to make this convenient for you.

You can upload your logo in a variety of image formats, including .jpg, .gif and .png. Our recommendation for most logos is a PNG file as they usually maintain a very high quality. You don't need to worry about resizing your logo. We'll take care of that step for you.

Add a Tournament Poster

Uploading a tournament poster follows a very similar process to uploading a tournament logo. With SportyHQ, you can upload a primary poster, and an alternate poster (perfect if you live in a region that has two languages and you produce a poster in each language).

Under the Tournament Poster heading, click on Upload Primary Poster or Upload Alternate Poster and use the popup window to find your poster file.

Complete the upload process and the page will refresh with your new poster showing in the About section of the Tournament page.

If you need to replace an existing poster, you can use this same process. Uploading a new version of your poster will automatically overwrite any previous version.

Add Other Information About the Tournament

SportyHQ provides you with several other fields that you can populate to offer additional information to people visiting your tournament's page. These fields can all be updated from the Tournament Settings page, which you'll find in your Administrator bar.

These fields include:

• About the tournament
  This is an open text field that lets you provide details about the event.
• Entry Fee Information
  This is an open text field that lets you provide details about what the entry fee covers in the event. For example, you may want to indicate how many matches are guaranteed, any information about a social event, and so forth.
• Other Information
  Any information not included in the fields above. You may want to highlight how much prize money is on offer, or provide accommodation information for out of town players.
• Sponsorship Packages
  This field gives you the opportunity to promote the sponsorship opportunities available at your event.
